Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the things people ask most before booking. If you don't see your question, reach out — I'm happy to talk it through.
Service & Coverage
What areas do you serve?
I'm based in Cairo and serve Grady County and Southwest Georgia. My standard service radius is about 35 miles. If you're further out, reach out — I may drive further depending on the situation, and I'll let you know before we proceed.
What kinds of RVs do you work on?
Motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, campers — anything that rolls, tows, or parks. If it has a roof, plumbing, electrical system, or appliances, I've worked on one.
Do you come to me, or do I bring the RV to you?
I come to you. My service is fully mobile — driveway, campground, storage lot, wherever your RV is parked. No towing, no hauling, no waiting in line at a shop.
Pricing & Payment
Do you charge for estimates or travel?
The standard: estimates and service calls are free within my 35-mile radius. For jobs outside that radius, I can still help, but a $100 service fee may apply depending on the distance. On rare occasions, I reserve the right to apply a trip charge within the standard radius as well. If any trip charge or service fee is necessary, I will always let you know and get your approval before we proceed.
Is pricing flat rate or hourly?
Flat rate. You get a fully-scoped estimate with the price before any work begins — no hourly clock ticking in the background. If something unexpected comes up during the repair, I'll write a supplement, have you review it, and get your approval before we do anything additional.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash is king, but I also accept checks, cards, and other forms of digital payment. Cash or check takes 3% off the final bill. Card payments are at the regular price.
Do you require a deposit?
For most jobs, no. Materials-heavy projects may require a deposit to cover ordering — if that applies, I'll disclose it upfront before we proceed.
Scheduling
How far in advance do I need to book?
Depends on the season and the job. Small diagnostics and repairs can often be scheduled within a few days. Larger projects that require ordering parts take a bit longer. Reach out and I'll give you a realistic timeline based on what you're dealing with.
What's your cancellation policy?
Please give me at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows may incur a $50 trip fee — but I'll waive that for emergencies, severe weather, and other reasonable circumstances. I'll work with you.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If it's unsafe to work — lightning, high winds, heavy rain on a roof job — we reschedule. I don't charge a trip fee for weather cancellations on my end.
The Work
Who actually does the repair?
I do. Every repair, every estimate, every call. There's no dispatch center and no hand-off between techs — the person you talk to is the person who shows up and does the work.
What if you find something unexpected during the repair?
I'll stop, let you know what I found, and write up a supplement to the original estimate. Nothing happens until you've reviewed it and approved. If you decide not to move forward on the additional work, that's your call — no pressure, no surprises on your bill.
Can I supply my own parts?
You can. I'll install them, but they don't carry my warranty — only the manufacturer's, if any. If a client-supplied part fails, the labor to diagnose, remove, or replace it is billed separately. Worth knowing before you go that route.
Warranty & Follow-up
Is there a warranty on your work?
Every repair comes with a 90-day warranty on labor. If something I fixed acts up, call me and I'll make it right. Parts are covered by their manufacturer or supplier warranty — I'll help you navigate the claim if a part fails.
